Components we source

Where our network is deepest.

Emporra sources across most electronic component families, but four categories drive the majority of what we ship. If your BOM sits here, our network is already looking.

01

Integrated Circuits

MCUs · FPGAs · specialised analog & mixed-signal

FPGAs and specialised analog parts sit embedded in industrial, medical and defence equipment for 15–25 years. When they go obsolete, you can't substitute — the design is built around them. This is our sharpest focus.

02

Power — board-mount

DC-DC converters · power modules · regulators

Premium power modules are designed-in for decades. When they reach end-of-life, the alternatives are few and the equipment can't run without them. High-value, single-source, hard to replace.

03

Memory — industrial grade

Industrial DRAM · NAND flash · memory modules & cards

Consumer memory turns over every year. Industrial equipment needs the exact same module for 10+ years. When it's discontinued, the broker network is the only route left.

04

Discrete semiconductors — power

IGBTs · high-power MOSFETs · power diodes

Sits in motor drives, industrial power supplies and inverters. Long life, safety-critical, often single-source. A frequent EOL casualty across Infineon, ON and Vishay power families.

REQUEST SOURCING

Upload your BOM. Get sourcing data within one business day.

We validate every line item against our vetted European broker network and report back with sourcing status, provenance, compliance and risk flags. No subscription. No commitment.

  • Acknowledged within 24 hours
  • Counterfeit-risk mitigation on every sourced part
  • RoHS & REACH compliance checked

What happens when you upload?

We parse your BOM line by line. Each component is checked against our vetted broker network for current availability, provenance, RoHS and REACH compliance, and counterfeit risk. Parts that are genuinely unavailable come with substitute suggestions where possible. We acknowledge every upload within 24 hours and deliver a complete sourcing report — not just a price, but a full picture of what's findable and what isn't.

WHAT YOU GET

What's included

01

BOM parsing

We accept Excel, CSV, Altium and KiCad BOM formats. Automatic parsing — no manual data entry required on your side.

02

Vetted broker network

Every sourcing request is matched against our network of vetted European brokers, OEM excess holders and independent distributors — assessed before we ever transact with them.

03

Compliance and provenance built in

RoHS and REACH compliance is checked on every sourced component. Provenance and counterfeit-risk checks are applied before anything is offered to you.

PER LINE ITEM

BOM REQUIREMENTS

What to include in your BOM

For fastest processing, include:

  • Manufacturer Part Number (MPN)
  • Quantity per unit or total quantity needed
  • Reference designators (optional but helpful)
  • Original manufacturer, if known
  • Any acceptable substitute criteria

Accepted formats: Excel (.xlsx), CSV, Altium BOM export, KiCad BOM

How to submit a good RFQ

A well-formed RFQ shaves days off the process. It also tells the broker network you're a serious buyer — which is how you get quoted first when supply is thin.

Include
  • Full manufacturer part number (MPN) — not a distributor SKU
  • Manufacturer name if the MPN is generic (e.g. LM317)
  • Quantity and whether it's firm, indicative or annual usage
  • Target date — hard deadline, ASAP, or a rough window
  • Date-code / lot preferences if any (or 'no preference')
  • Compliance needs: RoHS, REACH, traceability documentation
  • Certificate of Conformance required? Yes / no
  • End-use context — helps route the RFQ correctly (defence / medical / industrial / other)
  • Ship-to country (needed for export screening)
Skip
  • Screenshots of a BOM — a spreadsheet is 10× faster to work
  • Marketing part numbers or internal codes without an MPN
  • 'Whatever is cheapest' — obsolete sourcing needs a spec, not a race
  • Vague quantities ('a few hundred') if you actually know the number

THE PROCESS

How it works

01

Submit

Upload your BOM or a single part number. We parse it automatically and identify which items need network sourcing.

02

Search & verify

We search our vetted broker network for each component, applying provenance and counterfeit-risk checks. You receive sourcing status, compliance and risk flags on every line item.

03

Sourced & delivered

Approve the sourcing plan and we consolidate your order. One delivery, one invoice, full traceability documentation.

Timelines

What to expect after you submit

Sourcing obsolete parts isn't a checkout flow. Here's a realistic view of when things happen — and where the variability lives.

  1. Within 1 business day
    First response

Ulrik or Mark reads your RFQ, confirms receipt, and either sends clarifying questions or opens the broker enquiry.

  2. 1–3 business days
    Sourcing options back

Most single MPNs and small BOMs are quoted with price, quantity available, lead time and provenance summary within this window.

  3. 5–10 business days
    Deeper searches

Genuinely obsolete parts, low-yield searches or large BOMs may take longer. If it will, we tell you within the first business day and give a realistic window.

  4. On acceptance
    Order placed and vetted

We confirm the order with the sourcing partner, verify documentation and inspection scope, and share a firm delivery date.

  5. Before shipping to you
    Inspection and clearance

Partner inspection is completed and the paperwork you asked for (CoC, RoHS/REACH, traceability) is compiled before the parts leave.

  6. Delivery
    Shipped and closed out

You receive the parts and the full documentation pack. Any issue on receipt goes through our commercial guarantee — reject before install, we re-source or refund.
